Final Rendering

  I finally finished my project!!! This is my final rendering.

Rendering Test

 After attaching materials to all the objects, I started rendering tests to ensure that the effects of lights and other objects on the test objects were within an acceptable range. For example, wall latex paint, which itself is a faint warm yellow, but due to the reflection of the ground, the color of the wall is too yellow, so I turned the wall a little bit blue.

Lab Equipments

After the microscope, other small equipments and reagent bottles and tubes are not too difficult. Make one for each pattern and copy some to form all the equipments needed on the lab bench. But the next problem is attaching materials. As long as the glass place adjusts the diffuse reflection, reflection and refraction. For other parts, I need to add textures where needed. Next, I made a chair. The chair is composed of several small parts, and each part is made of simple geometrical bodies.

Microscope

I planed to make a microscope, which I think will be a relatively complicated part of this project.  I searched some tutorials about microscopes on Youtube, so that I can make it smoothly. Then I followed the instrctions step by step. Here are some pictures of the process.

Floor Material

  I attached a texture of wood to the floor, and adjusted the reflection and concavity of the material.

Camera and Lights

  I want to render this space. So I first placed a camera and tested the angle I wanted. An environment color of 220 is set in the rendering environment. Then I placed two vray lights. The flat light by the window is to increase the brightness, and the spherical light source outside is to increase the shadow. I tested the shape of the shadow in the real viewport. After that, I tried rendering for the first time without any material and texture.

Table and Blackboard

 I made a table as planned. It is very simple. Just make some boxes and combine them together. But it should be noted that if you want the details of the table to look more realistic, I used chamfer make the corners of the table more rounded. I also made a blackboard, which is also very simple.

Floor

 I used the floor generator to make a floor and adjusted the shape and size of the floor. This is a Chinese plug-in. Later I will give this floor a texture.

Door and Window

 The next task is to make door and window, which is not easy. Draw a plane first, convert it to editable poly, select two edges, and connect two lines. Give this plane shell 20mm, select the face, insert 60mm, and extrude 20mm. Then draw two rectangulars, then use Bevel Profile. Then I got a Plaster pattern. Then use symmetry to make the two sides of the door the same. Samilar steps for the window. 

Creat a Lab

 With the initial idea, I first drew a simple plan in CAD. I'm going t build a lab with several equipments inside. I am an interior design student, so when it comes to making models, I instinctively thought of making a room. As shown in the picture, I want to put a table, some chairs, a blackboard and some experimental equipments in the room. Of course, as a room, doors and windows are essential. Then I imported the CAD file into 3d and extruded the entire outline to 2700mm, which is the height of most rooms.  After that, I squeezed out the door and window by 240 and deleted the face. 240 is the thickness of a general wall.
